Tis an auld Irish expression that if yer spinning a yarn, yer telling a tale. Well doesn't that suit me down to the ground as I'm known in these parts as a bit of a storyteller. Some say that I've been blessed with the gift of the gab. Nothing grabs me attention more than the folklore of Ireland and the mystery and magic in each story. Tales of Tir na N'og and the blessed St Patrick. But don't ye know nothing grabs me attention quite like the magic of the Blarney Stone. Tis said to have special powers of luck to all those in its possession. Is it any wonder people come from far and wide to kiss the Blarney Stone and try and bring some of the luck their way.
Begosh I've only gone an' done it again!! Strikin’ gold at the end of the rainbow is happenin’ to me a lot lately… even if I am usin’ someone else’s map! Sure wouldn't ye be mad not to have a go at getting away with something bold where'r ye can. I'm always getting told off fer chancing me arm but where there be an opportunity, ye know I'll be jumpin' at the chance to take advantage.
Well, that was a lucky escape it ever I saw one! I’m one fer causin’ as much mischief as possible and try me best to make it a bit of craic fer all the lads and lassies around. Only sometimes I get a bit carried away and get meself in to a bit of trouble. Tis the gift of the gab though that makes things better and lets me charm me way back on to the good side of anyone who was a victim of me mischief making.
Sure you could say it’s a sad state of affairs to be far away from one’s native land. But on the other hand there’s nothing surer, that the world would be a poorer place if we Irish had not travelled in our thousands to bless so many lands with our Irish luck and charm. We all know the most perfect place on earth is good auld Ireland, but wouldn’t we be the selfish lot to keep all that perfection to ourselves. So if ye’re willing we’ll gladly go with you and along with the luck of the Blarney we’ll make your home like a little piece of Ireland.
What do ye think of me friend here…surely he’s the dumbest ass you ever will see. A divil for the stout. He’s lucky he has a good pal like me to help him out when a little over indulgence gets the better of him. Sure isn’t that what we’re for. ..to help out friends in their greatest time of need.
Tis the luck of the Irish ye need to help ye through life’s ups and downs. Make sure ye wish for something big because as sure as spuds are tasty your wish is sure to come through. Good health, a bit of laughter, a few shillings in your pocket and maybe even a pretty cailin to keep you warm. And isn’t that the very thing I’ve got for you. So keep me close and there’s nothin’ surer than your dreams will all come through.
Well don’t ye know that most o’ me day is taken up protecting our precious Blarney Stone. There’ll be plenty o’ messers out there who are only dyin’ to get their grubby hands on the Luck o’ the Irish. Aren’t ye lucky that ye have me around to protect it! Mind you, when there’s a cold glass of the black stuff on the go, I’m only too happy to catch me breath and have a small sit down in the green fields for a break…sure doesn’t it keep the energy levels up for all the hard work ahead!
To have the luck of the Irish is to have the luck of the world. And don't ye know that there's nothing better in the world to bring ye luck than the Blarney Stone. Sure, didn't I wander the Emerald Isle for years carrying me horseshoe around for luck. To be sure it was worth it but I'm only a wee man and sometimes it felt like the weight of the world was on me shoulders. Now me lucky piece of Blarney lets me prance around in the ceilis and catch the eyes of the fair ladies.
Begorrah amn’t I the lucky one. Will ye look at what I have here! Sure I never thought I’d see the day that I’d have me very own pot o’ gold. Hard working and honest I am and tis many a day I’ve spent searching at the end of a rainbow hopin’ that I might strike it lucky. Sure I always knew me lucky Blarney Stone would never let me down and tis true that the bigger yer dreams the more likely they will come through.
Oh Danny Boy, The Pipes, The Pipes are Calling… tis the sound of music of my homeland. I travelled from the Emerald Isle in search for new riches when I was only a lad. I have settled in places and found new families and friends were'r I travelled. But my heart remains a part of Ireland and as I sing my songs of longing, tis the Blarney Stone that I carry with me that will allow me to always hold a piece of my homeland in my hand.
They say if yer lucky enough to be Irish, yer lucky enough. Well there be parts about bein’ Irish that no one can deny makes us the luckiest! The gift o’ the gab is me favourite. Sure I could sprout on about different tales from me beautiful homeland all me days. And when I am doin’ me sproutin’ I can’t be forgettin’ the Blarney Stone. Tis said to have magical powers of luck to those who find it. Aren’t we the lucky ones bein’ the Guardians, sure we’re well able to take advantage!

Don’t ye know I’m not going anywhere any time soon so the devil can stick that in his pipe! Tis too much craic on the Emerald Isle and I plan on spendin’ the rest o’ me years causin’ yards o’ mischief and getting’ involved with all the rula bula that be goin’ on. The Finnians are only scallywags so where’r ye see or hear of some messin’, ye can be sure tis one of us little fellas that be causin’ it!

Haven’t I been blessed through them many years of me life never wantin’ fer much. But I’m a simple wee fella and tis the simple things in life that give me a spring in me step. Sure t’was only the other day I spotted the grandest rainbow, and didn’t it make me grin from ear to ear and I wer’ only gobsmacked for the rest of that sunny day.
We Finnians are well known for our love of music and there’s nothin’ we enjoy more than an auld tune on the tin whistle. Sure ‘tis part of our tradition and guaranteed to get everyone up and dancin’. There’s nothin’ I enjoy more than makin’ yiz happy so if ye want me to keep a whistlin’ and a tootin’ then a bit of auld gold in the pot would make the music flow all the sweeter!
I’m one of them fellas that’s a bit shy and don’t like to show me face around town. I keep to meself and have me crock o’ gold to keep me happy in my lil’ home at the bottom of the rainbow. If you see me though, give us a wave! Tis a rumour that I can grant three wishes to yis that find me in me home...
Isn’t it the sweetest song yiz ever did hear. ‘Tis me favourite and ‘tis many a day I can be heard whistlin’ or singin’ it as I amble along. Sure it reminds us of our roots and the soft spot we have in our hearts for those twinklin’ Irish eyes. Ye know what they say, “When Irish eyes are smilin’, they’re up to something”, but the truth is that ‘tis the luck of the Irish that we’ve been blessed with a special kind of charm that would steal yer heart away!
Ceol agus craic, music and laughter, that's the Irish for you! Don't ye know I have an eye for the fair ladies of this land and nothing gets them dancing and having a hoolie faster than when I pull my bodhran out and start an auld knees up. A bit of banter between us and we'll sing and dance the night away. Tis no coincidence that since I became a guardian of the Blarney Stone that my music playing improved, and along with it my luck with the fair ladies!
